Gmail Sorting Trick

I put numbers on the front of my labels on gmail so I can control the sort order in the left-hand column, like this:

1 Blah
1 More Blah
2 Different Blah
2 More Different Blah
3 Still Differenter Blah
9 And so on...

You can use words too. For ex., I keep all emails received from mailing lists labeled "List - " and then the listname.
